‘Tis an Egg-celent Egg Drop Design

All of the green straws that form the cube are about 11 cm. The green straws that make the peak of the tetrahedrons are about 7.6 cm. The blue straws will be fit to the size of the egg.

This design makes sense to me in my head because having the egg suspended in the middle by elastic material prevents any harsh movements or strong impact on the egg. By using tetrahedrons as the sides of the cube instead of just flat surfaces, the protruding parts can break on impact creating crumple-zones therefore reducing impact on the egg as well.
